From Curse Words to Compost Gold
So, we upgraded our little greenhouse to a slightly bigger one we snagged off Amazon, thinking it'd tower over us, but hey, it's all good! Assembling it was like looking at graffiti those picture instructions had my husband spouting a few choice words! 😄
But hey, we conquered it, and it looks stunning! Still gotta finesse those shelves though.
Got my green thumbs busy planting onions and garlic in old tubs, and the tall ones are now home to lettuce and spinach. Hubby went all awesome on me and fetched some primo soil from the woods.
Been hoarding eggshells like a squirrel with nuts, mixing them with used coffee grounds for some extra plant TLC. Oh, and remember that compost barrel we bought last year? I hated it. It was hard to get stuff out of the small sliding doors. Thought about chucking it, but when we finally cracked it open, jackpot! Black gold, baby!
Well, except for a rogue banana that was still holding on for dear life.
Trying to keep track of everything I've planted is like solving a puzzle. Money's tight, so can't go crazy with the plants, you know? Started some seeds indoors, but cilantro and black-eyed Susans were a bit wimpy, so they've been banished to the greenhouse. Fingers crossed they toughen up out there! 🌱
